In Version 8.2, look for the following exciting enhancements in the Logi 8 product lines.

  • Administration Improvements – Logi Ad Hoc now provides administrators the convenience of configuring application administration settings.
  • Custom Report Stylesheet Enhancements – Logi Ad Hoc now makes using custom report stylesheets as easy as a file copy. Simply put your own report stylesheet in the same directory as the default stylesheets and it will be picked up and made available to the report builder automatically.

It also pre-calculates and caches data for faster report results.

Enhancements to Logi Mart include:

  • New and Improved Action Logs
  • More Refined Data Mart Table Definition Structure - Instead of a single, lengthy data mart definition that defines your data mart tables, Logi Mart now offers a global Settings definition with multiple associated Table definitions.

  • New ‘Time Machine’ Element for Reporting - Logi Intelligence Server offers a unique ‘time machine’ element that lets you easily capture a snapshot of data on a scheduled basis and then archive and compare that data over time. You can easily create trend reports to analyze that data and be notified of any exceptions. Logi Intelligence Server will allow you to archive critical data over a period of time, compare historical data and calculations, enable automated alerts or processes for exceptions in historical data, and create important trend reports, for example, to explore whether product sales are trending up or down in the last week or month by geographical region.

  • Google-Style Search Boxes for Your Reports - Logi Intelligence Server makes stored data searchable and gives you the tools to easily add free-text search capabilities to your organization’s reports. Search capabilities in BI solutions help to extend easy information access to a broader user base across the organization. Search makes it easy for end users to find information most relevant to their needs in a dynamic, free-style, and casual way, just like they have come to expect in their browsers.

    • Server administrators maintain control over data connections and security, easily defining the data tables that are searchable for users. They can define how to display the results and further limit which data columns are searched and which get shown to the user.

    • The search input can come from any user input type element, e.g., can be hard-coded (i.e., users select search terms from a drop down menu) or can allow free text input. The search input can also come from another report or Web application.
